Green ceramic beaker with hand-drawn illustration of a frog and waterlilies
£30.00
sold out
Small ceramic beaker with a hand drawn illustration of a frog jumping over waterlily leaves and flowers.
It is hand-thrown by me, and before the first firing, I put wax emulsion on the other surface, and draw onto it with a tool, removing the wax emulsion. I then paint black underglaze onto it and when it is fired, the wax burns off and the black remains on the areas where the wax was removed. It is very much like printmaking.
I then glaze it with an emerald green earthenware glaze. It is food safe.
