Sketchbook Journaling with Lorraine Berkshire-Roe
Venue: The Cluster, Co-working space, 3-5 Middle Way, Summertown, Oxford, OX2 7LH
Dates: Saturday 18th July 2026
Time: 10am-12pm
Cost: £28
This is the seventh workshop of eight in Chapter 4 of my Sketchbook Journal Workshops.
8 spaces
In this workshop you will explore different ways to document a day out or a holiday. You are welcome to bring your own photos, ephemera, maps etc to use if you have a particular place or time you would like to document, but I will have all the reference, resources and inspiration you need if you don’t.
I love documenting holidays and short stays, it’s at those times that I have more opportunity to stop and look.
My holiday journaling is a mixture of recording what I can when I am there: some pages are finished on the day, some just have a title, a bit of writing or a quick sketch, which I may add more elements to at the end of a day, but sometimes this happens after I have get back home.
This could be sticking collected paper materials like cafe cards, tickets, maps etc. onto pages. I also draw from photos, stick photos in and all sorts of collected things.
This is the first of two holiday journaling workshops, there will be plenty of options to try over 2 sessions if that is what you wish.
